Brewco Marketing Group (BMG) traces its inception back to 1997, when it began assisting Brewco Motorsports with its sponsorship efforts at NASCAR races. In those 26 years, the Central City-based marketing group has evolved drastically, creating award-winning solutions for some of the world’s most trusted brands.

BMG works with companies such as McDonald’s, IBM, The National Baseball Hall of Fame, Swedish Match, and Corvette, but one of its most recent solutions will serve local communities. The marketing group partnered with the Commonwealth West Healthcare Innovation Center – a coalition of regional higher education, P-12, and healthcare organizations – to design, fabricate, and assist in managing a custom mobile lab for students across western Kentucky.

Housed in a 1,000-square-foot double expandable semi-trailer, the unit features 8 patient beds, a 12’x12′ immersive simulation room, anatomage tables, Z-Space devices, and SynDaver, Laerdal, and iSim mannequins. It’s also equipped with medical gas, a self-contained network system, and an onboard generator, allowing it to double as a treatment center if needed.

“At BMG, we’re thrilled to partner with the Commonwealth West Healthcare Workforce Innovation Center to design, fabricate, and manage a custom mobile lab to serve students in our local communities,” said Brewco program director Corbin Jewell. “We take great pride in partnering with these remarkable institutions and look forward to witnessing the impact this program will have first-hand.”

As a 100% employee-owned experiential marketing company, BMG designs, fabricates, manages, and maintains custom mobile and marketing solutions across North America and Europe. Executing over 3,000 event days annually, the company’s ultimate objective remains the same: engaging audiences where they work, live, and play.

The company’s capabilities have grown and evolved drastically, with additional locations in Charlotte, Nashville, and London, England. Services range from mobile tours, retail activation, and product sampling to mobile training units, command centers, and STEM units.

Brewco offers pop-up retail solutions, sponsorship negotiations, and custom design and fabrication. Other company divisions include Brewco Health, which specializes in building mobile medical facilities, and Brewco Staging, which offers many mobile stages and hospitality suites.

“We have an experienced and versatile team eager to create experiential solutions to help companies, nonprofits, government agencies, and more grow their brand by creating lasting impressions,” said Director of Public Relations John Kirkpatrick. “We can leverage our expertise and relationships to deliver completely integrated solutions.”

BMG boasts over 200 employees worldwide, including program directors, brand ambassadors, tour managers, fabricators, electricians, HVAC experts, graphic installers, in-house designers, and more. Several of these talented individuals call the greater Owensboro area home.

Another notable buildout for the group includes The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, featuring five 53-foot double-expandable trailers, two 40-foot mobile stage trailers, multiple support trailers, and the first-ever mobile IMAX theater. PSEG Long Island also leaned on BMG to fabricate and manage a self-sufficient “My Smart Energy Lab,” a self-sufficient solar-powered solution, the first of its kind.

“It’s tough to describe just how talented our team is,” Kirkpatrick said. “Imagine designing and fabricating a fleet of mobile restaurants for McDonald’s or a 9-bed fully-equipped ICU and shipping it to Timor-Leste, a small island off the coast of Indonesia. It’s truly remarkable what we’re doing in Central City.”

Kirkpatrick said BMG operates like a family with a  “no excuses, make it happen” mentality. Owensboro native and CEO Todd Wilkerson oversees the Swedish Match partnership and has been a part of the organization since Day 1.

“It’s been amazing to see our company grow and evolve over the years,” Wilkerson said. “We’ve formed relationships with several long-standing partners that have contributed to our success. We take pride in calling western Kentucky home and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
